We are particularly excited to witness Michael J. Fox accept the well-deserved Frontier Award, for his advocacy and work in Parkinson’s disease. Mr. Fox was diagnosed with the disease at the age of 29, and as proof of resilience, he founded the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. The Foundation is the world’s largest non-profit funder of research in Parkinson’s research, driving many groundbreaking discoveries. One of its initiatives, the Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) facilitates global collaboration through an open-access data set and a biosample library to expedite scientific breakthroughs. At AICURA, we enable our partners to harness the potential of the open data sets through a scalable data model and AI to accelerate clinical research in Parkinson's and other neurodegenerative diseases.
